Once your account is registered, a unit is rented and payment is completed, you will be sent your individual code to access the secured gate. Be sure to enter accurate cell phone numbers and email addresses on your accounts so you get your information accurately and efficiently.
You provide the lock for your individual unit. (Please note - 10x40 sized units do have TWO DOORS so you will need two locks to secure your unit).
We like to be as upfront and transparent as possible in regards to lease terms so PLEASE NOTE:
*Be sure to accurately estimate or measure the size of the items you need to store in your unit as any cancellation without a 30 day notice does forfeit the deposit paid on the unit.
*The lease terms are month to month, however a 30 day notice to vacate is required on all units rented in order to be eligible for the deposit refund .
*The final month of your rental is not prorated - so it is suggested that when giving notice to vacate you do so on or before the first of the month you intend to vacate for the last day of that month.
*On the larger 10x20, 10x25, 10x30 and 10x40 units the approximate garage door height is 10ft tall. Please keep that in mind for larger items or vehicles you intend to store.
*PLEASE NOTE: Self Storage units CANNOT be used as as living space or dwelling (temporary or otherwise) for any amount of time, at any time, by anyone - no exceptions. This is not only considered a Lease violation and can result in immediate termination of the lease but is also against the law. This is strictly enforced to stay in line with local laws and the safety of all tenants.
*Keep in mind these are standard - NOT climate controlled - cement floored basic garage/storage units. They are not moisture or water tight. Just like with a standard garage, moisture and/or water could enter if heavy/high wind and or rain occurs and hot/cold conditions will occur. While flooding or moisture entering is not the norm, we always recommend that personal items be raised from the cement pad via risers, shelving or pallets in case any moisture or water happens to enter the unit. CedarWest Self Storage IS NOT responsible for any water damage or damage resulting to items due to hot/cold conditions. While we don't require renters insurance, it is recommended to protect your personal property from these or any other situations should they arise.
